Set Apart: For A Life Pleasing Unto God
What does it mean to live a life pleasing to God? When we put our faith in Jesus as our Savior, we are pleasing God. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him.” Faith comes from the heart (Rom. 10:10), and God looks on the heart — not the actions (1 Sam. 16:7). Our generous service, being generous with our time with Jesus and being generous with our giving - are all honoring God and when we honor God, God will honor us. A GENEROUS HEART IS A KIND OF HEART THAT PLEASES GOD. Now, having been set apart unto God, you begin to live for God. And you continue to be more and more separated from the sin that was so much the dominant pattern of your life. Living a life set apart is beneficial for you. It does not mean to isolate yourself from anyone, it simply means being holy and available to be used by God. While being set apart, think about is your lifestyle pleasing to God. If you really want to be used by God, it comes with a price. Our generous heart can touch the heart of Jesus and make us so pleasing to God! You have been set apart as Holy to the Lord your God and He has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be His own special treasure. Deuteronomy 14:2
